Act4Africa offers general clinical opportunities plus unique clinical experience in the specialised field of HIV/AIDS in Uganda.
An initial FOUR week placement in Jinja, Uganda. Further weeks can be secured as required from 2010.
NOTE: All start dates are by personal arrangement and negotiable to suit your own medical speciality.
Resting on the shores of Lake Victoria, the largest tropical lake in the world, you have the choice of location in either Jinja or Kasese. In Jinja you will work in a local general hospital with opportunities to attend a clinic at one of the foremost research centres for HIV / AIDS in Uganda where you can experience African medicine at it's best.
Kasese is in western Uganda - the heart of untamed rural Africa - where you will experience work in a local general hospital with our local Community Health Education teams to gain experience of African community health practices in the 'bush'.
The fundraising Project Target (set for 2010) for a FOUR week elective is £750 (not including airfares) plus a one off local payment of $335.
(Extra weeks at £125 per week)
