Celebrate 10 Years

Keep Saturday 13th November FREE!

We don't want you to miss out on the growing event of the year for Act4Africa to celebrate 10 amazing years.

An Evening Celebration of 10 Years of Act4Africa

This is planned to help you join us in reviewing our incredible progress and also our way of saying thanks to all the people who have made it possible.

Plans are still developing, but we are hoping to have some very special guests and a prestigeous venue.

There will be live music and no doubt some dancing, presentations, interviews and stories from Act4Africa legends. We will have images and video with some of the amazing stories from the people and special guests.

GET THIS DATE IN YOUR DIARY THEN: Saturday 13th November 2010

Many more details to follow as plans unfold.

We hope to see many of our friends and supporters there, so if you have been out with us on a trip .. or just intend to one day .. watch this space!

Love

Walk of Hope

Would you like to help Act4Africa to celebrate some good news whilst bringing hope to thousands of Africa's most vulnerable and at-risk young people?

Then join us and hundreds of other Act4Africa supporters this year as we collectively walk a mammoth 4162 miles (the distance from our UK office to the first office that Act4Africa set up in Uganda) by organising or joining in a local Sponsored Walk of Hope anytime between April and November 2010. We're not asking you to walk the actual route to Uganda, just help us to complete the mileage!

We're aiming to recruit 500 walkers to raise £100 each during the Walk of Hope between April and November to raise a total of £50,000!

This money will help us:

• Set up new Life Clubs in Africa, giving orphans and vulnerable young people the chance to learn essential life skills and equip them for the jobs market

• Train hundreds of African church and community leaders in how to teach our essential AIDS Prevention Education Programmes, destroying the myths about AIDS and equipping them to lead their own communities towards a healthier future

• Enable the poorest of the poor and those who have been devastated by AIDS to access HIV testing, counselling and practical support, giving hope to those who have none.
