Welcome

Across the globe sport is being used to educate young people about HIV & AIDS. It is unique in its appeal to young people, and so offers special opportunities for endorsing the HIV/AIDS prevention message.

Through our local project partners we combine sport activities, like football training, with information on preventing and fighting HIV/AIDS. The sport coaches are trained to teach kids in the field of HIV/AIDS awareness through special sport exercises.

  • HIV is no barrier to playing sport at any level
  • In fact physical activity combined with treatments help people living with HIV to lead healthy lives
  • HIV can be prevented through good education and awareness
  • Act4Africa encourages all projects that can harness the global power of sport to help teach young people how to protect themselves and their partners
